Simple Present Tense — Geniş Zaman

Geniş zaman İngilizce'nin en sık kullandığın yapısıdır. Her gün yapılan, alışkanlık olan, genel doğru olan şeyler için kullanılır. Türkçe'deki "-r, -er, -ir, -ar" ekli zamanla eşdeğerdir: "giderim, içerim, uyurum."
