Every Saturday, my family goes to the local market. There are many stalls with vegetables, fruit, clothes and books. It is always very busy!
Today, I have 60 liras in my pocket. I want to buy a present for my mother. At the flower stall, I ask: "How much are these roses?" The seller says: "They're 30 liras for ten roses." That's cheap! I buy them.
Then I see a nice scarf. "How much is the blue scarf?" I ask. "It's 40 liras," says the seller. "But it's on sale today — 25 liras!" I buy the scarf too. I pay 55 liras in total, so I have 5 liras left.
My mother is very happy with her flowers and scarf. The market is a great place to shop!
