Özellikle few / a few ve little / a little arasındaki fark anlamı tamamen değiştirir.

Why We Eat What We Eat

sarı işaretli kelimeler bu ünitenin hedef yapıları ve kalıplarıdır.

Food is never just fuel. It is culture, history, identity, and memory. Every country has a great deal of history hidden in its dishes.

Turkish cuisine, for example, has absorbed a large number of influences — from Central Asia, the Middle East, the Balkans, and the Mediterranean — across centuries of empire and migration. Take bread: there are plenty of varieties in Turkey alone — pide, simit, lavaş, bazlama, mısır ekmeği. Hardly any Turkish meal is served without it.

Korean kimchi — fermented vegetables with a variety of spices — has been made for many centuries. A large number of recent studies suggest it may have significant probiotic benefits. However, little definitive scientific consensus exists yet, and more research is needed.

The Japanese consume very little red meat compared to most Western nations — much less saturated fat overall. A few researchers have attributed Japan's exceptional life expectancy partly to diet, though genetics and healthcare also play roles.

Plenty of global food trends are emerging. A few years ago, dishes like kimchi tacos, matcha lattes, and Turkish-inspired fusion were unknown outside their home countries. Now they are everywhere.
